AP/JP1000 6.0 Presentation

Create a skit and present it in class. There are three presentations in the academic year.

·         Three students form one group. Choose new members each time.

·         Work as a team: share the workload evenly. Do not have one member work as a scriptwriter for everyone.

·         Demonstrate what you have learned - structure, vocabulary and expressions in the course. The purpose is not to go beyond the course content, but to show how well and how creatively you can use the course material.

·         Limit new vocabulary, expressions and structures to five (all inclusive), and prepare flash cards to introduce those words to your peers. Katakana words that do not appear in the course text or vocabulary are counted as new words. Make sure you list all the new words, expressions and structures.

·         Completely memorize your lines and act them out. If you read a script, your overall performance will be severely penalized.

·         Use of English during the presentation (e.g. explanation of the scene, your role) will not work favorably. The context and the role you are playing should be very clear from your skit in Japanese.

·         It is encouraged to use simple props (items you already own) that will make your conversation more natural and realistic.

·         Check the syllabus for presentation dates. Start preparing as soon as you can.

·         Length and the basic coverage are shown below.
