Please consider each writing assignment as a 'take-home test.'
You are allowed to use dictionaries.
Breach of the academic honesty policy such as plagiarism (e.g.
cutting and pasting other people's work)
or asking native or other speakers to check your work will be
dealt with according to the university rules and
regulations.
Format:
Please use the type-in manuscript paper genkoo-yooshi for the Japanese text (MS Word) at the following URL.

Please submit English translation of each assignment using a separate MS Word document.
Style
Please use -desu/-masu formal style unless
instructed otherwise.
Later writing style will be introduced.

Please feel free to use available
software or apps for writing and translation to improve your
writing.
You cannot ask someone to write your assignment or ask
someone to proof-read it. That would constitute breach of
the academic honesty policy.

Rewriting
You have two weeks to rewrite the
colour-coded draft upon receiving it from the instructor.
Late submission
Late submission might be allowed for special circumstances with the instructor’s discretion - illness, accident, death in the family, etc.
Late submission could be subject to penalty (5% reduction per day).
