AP/JP2000 2013-2014 In-Class Essay Instruction
Administered on Moodle in MLC Teaching Lab 3 at Ross
North 119 (note the new location!). Be
on time. Make sure you know your password for both MLC and Moodle.
Instruction: Write an essay on the topic presented as your
last project (PPT/Web presentation). Type on the designated manuscript paper (Sample
essay is available on Moodle for the proper use of genkooyooshi).
- No dictionary can be used.
- The composition has
to be written on your own. Having your grammar checked by others in
advance or memorizing all or part of sentences you found in books, online
materials, or any other sources can be interpreted as an academic
misconduct and can affect your grade negatively.
- Writing style: Write in the plain form (e.g., V-る、N+だ).
- Use the JP2000-level
grammar/expressions you learned during the winter term as much as
possible.
- Length: 800 characters
- Test Time: 110 minutes
- Provide the English translation of your essay as well. This is
just to help us instructors comprehend the content of each essay, and it
will not affect the evaluation of your work in Japanese.
- Evaluation: Content, Organization, Structure, Expressions/Vocabulary,
and Writing.
