This course provides an overview of contemporary Japanese culture and society, to help students in understanding Japan and its people in the age of globalization and cross-cultural communication. Course credit exclusions: None. PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Course credit exclusions: AS/JP 2700 6.00, AS/JP 2800A 6.00 (prior to Fall/Winter 2003-2004).
